Basiu, mam pytanie - niedawno zaopatrzyłam się w osławiony Antidral. Używam go sporadycznie, ale sprawdza się doskonale.
Podaję skład: chlorek glinowy 1,0 g Gliceryna 1,0 g Alkohol etylowy 95%, Woda oczyszczona do 10,0 g.
Tylko, że naczytałam sie o rakotwórczym działaniu i mam wątpliwości, czy dalej używac, czy nie.
Mam też wątpliwości co do zwykłych antyperspirantów, te które mam zawieraja Aluminum chlorohydrate, czy są bezpieczne ?
Basiu jakie masz zdanie na ten temat?

Nie potwierdzono ich szkodliwosci w 100%. Kiedys laczono stosowanie antyperspirantow z choroba Alzheimer'a. Jednak w tym wypadku potwierdzono, ze brak jest polaczenia.

The association between exposure to aluminum through the lifetime use of antiperspirants and antacids and Alzheimer's disease (AD) was explored in a case-control study of 130 matched pairs. Cases were clinically diagnosed between January 1980 and June 1985 at two geriatric psychiatric clinics in Seattle, Wash. Controls were friends or non-blood relatives of the case. Subjects were matched by age, ., and the relationship between the case and his or her surrogate. For all antiperspirant/deodorant use, regardless of aluminum content, there was no association with AD (adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 1.2, 95% CI = 0.6-2.4). For aluminum-containing antiperspirants, the overall adjusted OR was 1.6 (95% CI = 1.04-2.4) with a trend toward a higher risk with increasing frequency of use (p for trend = 0.03), the adjusted OR in the highest tertile being 3.2. For antacids regardless of aluminum content, the overall adjusted OR was 3.1 (95% CI = 1.2-7.9). Here, a steep dose-response gradient was found (p for trend = 0.009), with an adjusted OR for the highest tertile of 11.7. However, when only aluminum-containing antacids were analyzed, the overall adjusted OR was only 0.7 (95% CI = 0.3-2.0) and there was no significant dose-response trend. These results are provocative but inconclusive due to methodologic problems relating to the necessary use of surrogate respondents and the long time period of potential exposure for this dementing disease.

Risk factors for Alzheimer's disease: a prospective analysis from the Canadian Study of Health and Aging.

A prospective analysis of risk factors for Alzheimer's disease was a major objective of the Canadian Study of Health and Aging, a nationwide, population-based study. Of 6,434 eligible subjects aged 65 years or older in 1991, 4,615 were alive in 1996 and participated in the follow-up study. All participants were cognitively normal in 1991 when they completed a risk factor questionnaire. Their cognitive status was reassessed 5 years later by using a similar two-phase procedure, including a screening interview, followed by a clinical examination when indicated. The analysis included 194 Alzheimer's disease cases and 3,894 cognitively normal controls. Increasing age, fewer years of education, and the apolipoprotein E epsilon4 allele were significantly associated with increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, wine consumption, coffee consumption, and regular physical activity were associated with a reduced risk of Alzheimer's disease. No statistically significant association was found for family history of dementia, ., history of depression, estrogen replacement therapy, head trauma, antiperspirant or antacid use, smoking, high blood pressure, heart disease, or stroke. The protective associations warrant further study. In particular, regular physical activity could be an important component of a preventive strategy against Alzheimer's disease and many other conditions.

Antiperspirant use and the risk of breast cancer.

The rumor that antiperspirant use causes breast cancer continues to circulate the Internet. Although unfounded, there have been no published epidemiologic studies to support or refute this claim. This population-based case- control study investigated a possible relationship between use of products applied for underarm perspiration and the risk for breast cancer in women aged 20-74 years. Case patients (n = 813) were diagnosed between November 1992 and March 1995; control subjects (n = 793) were identified by random digit dialing and were frequency-matched by 5-year age groups. Product use information was obtained during an in-person interview. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals were estimated by the use of conditional logistic regression. P values were determined with the Wald chi(2) test. All statistical tests were two-sided. The risk for breast cancer did not increase with any of the following activities: 1) antiperspirant (OR = 0.9; P =.23) or deodorant (OR = 1.2; P =.19) use; 2) product use among subjects who shaved with a blade razor; or 3) application of products within 1 hour of shaving (for antiperspirant, OR = 0.9 and P =.40; for deodorant, OR = 1.2 and P =.16). These findings do not support the hypothesis that antiperspirant use increases the risk for breast cancer.

Do underarm cosmetics cause breast cancer?

Osobiscie nie mam dobrych doswiadczen z tzw. dezodorantami naturalnymi, mimo, ze nie naleze do osob o duzej potliwosci.

Mysle, ze na pewno bezpieczeniej jest nie stosowac zwlaszcza silnych antyperspirantow o duzym stezenie zwiazkow aluminium na swiezo wydepilowana skore, czesto dodatkowo podrazniona, gdyz przenikanie wszelkich substancji nalozonych na podrazniona, skaleczona skore jest duzo wieksze. Mysle, tez, ze bezpieczniej jest nie stosowac stale, czyli codziennie przez dlugi okres czasu antyperspirantow o duzym stezeniu zwiazkow aluminium czyli tych typu Antidral, Etiaxil itp. Warto byloby robic przerwy od czasu do czasu i w tym okresie stosowac lagodniejszy antyperspirant. Wada antyperspirantow jest mozliwosc zatykania porow, przyczyniania sie do chwilowych powiekszen wezlow chlonnych. Dlatego trzeba koniecznie dobrze je zmywac na wieczor, na noc zrobic sobie od nich odpoczynek.

W dni, gdy nie ma upalow, stosuje Toleriane LRP+wystarczajaco zabezbiecza. Natomiast wtedy, gdy robi sie naprawde cieplo, musze siegnac po cos mocniejszego i uzywam antyperspirantu Biodrogi
